The reasons behind these issues are unknown, as Supergiant's Tweet seemed to be intentionally vague, probably to let the devs sort out all the issues without any public scrutiny. Sure, Hades is a very replayable game, but plenty of players have sunk dozens of hours into the game and just don't want to start over from scratch. However, during launch prep, Supergiant discovered some major issues as the devs tested the cross-save feature. Part of the deal with the game coming to Switch was a cross-save system that will allow Early Access players to keep their progress from their PC games, which was pretty exciting for people who'd put in a lot of time to their PC saves. Hades was announced for the Epic Game Store in 2018 back when Epic's digital games market was still new, and was an anticipated release from the studio that produced other Bastion and Transistor, two other games with a high emphasis on visual style. Hades is an isometric roguelike where players play Hades' own son, Zagreus, attempting to escape from the land of the dead. Unfortunately Hades fans are also facing an announced delay, as the hack-and-slash created by Supergiant is getting a Switch port, but the cross-saves feature is coming later than some people might've hoped. During this pandemic situation, many people are used to delays being added to the release of their favorite video games.
